The short version

Your documents never leave your device unless you send them. CustomInvoice has no account system and no server that holds your data. We cannot see your invoices, your clients, or your business. There is no login, because there is nothing to log in to.

CustomInvoice is provided by CustomApps LLC. Questions about anything on this page go to info@customapps.us.

What stays on your device

All of it. Your business profile and logo, your clients, your invoices, estimates and receipts, your line items, your payments, your tax rates, and every PDF you generate are written to your device’s local storage and never transmitted to us.

We have no ability to read, recover or restore this data, because we never receive a copy. If you delete the app or lose the device, it is gone. The app can export your documents and payments to CSV, which is a report for your records and your accountant — it is not a backup file the app can read back, and there is no import.

Your clients’ information

CustomInvoice holds commercial information about third parties — your clients’ names, addresses, and what they owe you. That data is subject to the same rule as everything else: it stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. It is also the reason the app measures nothing: the surest way to never hold information you keep about someone else is to never send anything at all.

What leaves your device, and when

1. Documents you choose to send

When you email or share a document, the PDF goes wherever you send it, through your own mail app or share sheet. It does not pass through us.

2. The review prompt

The App Store rating prompt is a system feature and sends us nothing.

That is the whole list. The app is fully functional offline: writing a document, rendering its PDF and recording a payment need no network at all, and nothing is queued to be sent later.

Permissions

CustomInvoice asks for one thing: access to your photo library, and only at the moment you tap to choose a logo for your business. It reads the single image you pick, copies it into the app’s own storage, and never uploads it.

The app also declares a camera-use string. It is there because the system image picker component includes camera support; CustomInvoice opens that picker in gallery-only mode and never turns on the camera.

It does not ask for contacts, location, microphone, calendar or health data, and it does not use notifications of any kind.

Why we measure nothing

CustomInvoice sends us nothing about how you use it. No product-usage events, no error reports, no identifiers, nothing to an advertising or attribution network, and no counts of any kind — not even anonymous ones. There is no opt-out screen, because there is nothing to opt out of.

Plenty of apps collect anonymous usage counts and are honest about it. We decided this one should not, because of what it holds. An invoicing app knows who your clients are, what you charge them, and which of them pay late. Even a counter that recorded only the shape of that — how many clients you keep, how large a typical invoice is, how often one goes overdue — would be measuring your business, and your clients’ business, for our benefit rather than yours.

So we find out what to fix the slow way: people write to us. If something is wrong, telling us is the only way we will know.

What we never do

  • No usage events, no counters and no crash reports — nothing about how you use the app is transmitted anywhere
  • No ads, and nothing sent to an advertising network
  • No selling or sharing of your data with third parties
  • No cross-app or cross-site tracking, no IDFA, no ad IDs
  • No bank connections, ever
  • No account, no email collection, no cloud sync

Children

CustomInvoice is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Because your data lives only on your device, you already have complete control over it: export your documents and payments as CSV, or delete everything by deleting the app. There is no server-side deletion request to file, because there is nothing of yours on a server.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be noted in the app’s release notes and reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
